The manor "Hue de Grais" in Wolkramshausen

It was built by Walrad Ludwig von Wilcke between 1722 and 1727. According to "Geschichte der Familie von Wurmb" (Ref. 515), vol. 3, pg. 28, Anton Albrecht von Wurmb built his own manor in 1705 (i.e. before "Hue de Grais") across from the von Wilcke manor. A picture of this manor is on the page before pg. 28 and looks somewhat similar to "Hue de Grais".

Anton Albrecht von Wurmb was married to a von Wilcke, so the two manors must have had a close relationship.

Note: Sometime after 1990, ownership of the manor Hue de Grais was taken over by Manfred Werther, a descendant of the family that owned it before it was abandoned. The manor is supposedly being renovated but progress is slow.

Crests over the gate at the manor "Hue de Grais" in Wolkramshausen

The dragon on the right is part of the von Wurmb crest. The man on the left might signifiy the von Wilcke family. Maybe the two symbols together represent their connection by marriage.
