He married 1st to Frances Petitt. They had the following children together: Thomas, Isam, David, Jane, William and Anna.
He married Margaret Poplet second. They had the following children together: James, Isaac, Peggy.
Isaac came to up to Indiana from Kentucky to visit his sons. He took pneumonia and died.
Revolutionary War Service- Private under George Rogers Clark for 16 mos. 18 days. He received 33 pounds and 1 shillings. Enlisted again May 30, 1780, served until Nov. 30, 1781, under Capt. Richard Brashears, Colonel John Montgomery.
Inscription on gravestone:
