There is a possible gravesite at https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/255324188/harriett-stoodley. However, on 19 Oct 2025,the administrator of these two pages, Lyn Hudson-Williamson in Australia, informed me:
“Amos Stoodley and his wife Harriet Stoodley (nee White) were born, married and died at Hawkchurch in Dorset (it's historical loction) but due to the limitations of the mapping functions here at FAG it now puts Hawkchurch in Devon.
Amos and Harriet did have a daughter Emily Stoodley born October 1860 and died 1947 in Dorset, she married Edwin Dear, so not the same person I'm thinking.”
The name of this person is from [9, pg. 321], but no source is named for this information. It is conceivable that the author, back before he pusblished the book in 1908, was aware of these two graves and assumed that they must be Emily Stoodley’s parents. But, of course, it is also possible that the author had a reliabel source. We just don’t know.
