MPW - 02.10.25: I'm adding names and basic dates based on pages in Find a Grave without looking in detail whether the family connections are well documented. It would be good if a later researcher would do the work to confirm that these relationships can be documented.

MPW - 06.10.25, I have found no first name for this Matthias Mount Vancleave’s father. This is the information I found in [36]:
2At this place [Bull Creek, Kentucky, nine miles from Shelbyville] Benjamin Vancleave and Daniel Boone had made a settlement in early days and were closely connected in their hunting add trapping experiences, and the history of that day mentions Grandfather Vancleave [i.e., Benjamin Vancleave] in connection with the famous Kentucky pioneer. The son of this Benjamin Vancleave was the father of our subject [i.e., Matthias Mount Vancleave], and his mother was Mary Mount. the daughter of Mathias Mount.”

According to [36]:
“Mathias [Matthias Mount Vancleave] was the eldest of a family of nine children, of whom four are yet living [in 1897].”
